At the bottom is a communication board for 'What can you hear? What can you see?' - if your young person uses a communication board, please model and encourage your young person to use "I hear ....." "I see...".

If your young person uses symbols, please encourage them to select the correct symbol for the sensory experience, by offering a choice of symbols, holding up two or three symbols in front of them (dependent on the stage your young person is at) and seeing which one they reach or eye point for.
