Maths - Adventurers - activity 10 - Temperature 1

This week we are learning about temperature.

There are 3 different levels of activity to choose from.

Activity A is the easiest, Activity B is medium, and Activity C is the hardest.

Scroll down to the bottom of this page to download resources.

Activity A

Make a thermometer display poster

Print out the poster and stick it on the door of your fridge or a wall.

Cut out the pointers.

Every day, use blue tac or velcro to attach the pointers to the right place on the poster.

Activity B

Print out and fill in the rainfall and temperature chart for each day this week.  You can find out what the temperature is each day by checking a weather app, going on the BBC weather webpage or by watching the weather reports on morning TV.  If you have your own thermometer you could measure the temperature outside yourself.  You can also tick if it rains, or draw a symbol of a raindrop.

Activity C

If you can't play the game, then you could try this activity instead - measure the temperature of everyone in your house.  You could use a digital thermometer for this.

If you don't have a digital thermometer, you could try this activity instead - print out and complete a 5 day temperature graph.  you can find out what the temperature is each day by checking a weather app, going on the BBC weather webpage or by watching the weather reports on morning TV.
