Maths - Adventurers - Number Bonds

First of all, go for a walk and collect at least 20 conkers, acorns, leaves, seeds or an assortment. You can also use sweets! Watch the video for the introduction and then complete the following activities:

c) Have a go at making the number bonds to 10 using the items you've collected. You can use two plates or bowls to help. Write down your work, for example 1 + 9 =10 and 9 + 1 =10.

b) Can you extend on the previous activity by writing down the inverse number sentences for each number bond to 10 pair? For example 10 - 9 = 1 and 10 - 1 = 9.

a) If you've mastered number bonds to 10, then try making the number bonds to 20 using the items you've collected. Remember to write down your work, like this 2 + 18 = 20 and 18 + 2 = 20,

20 - 18 = 2 and 20 - 2 = 18. You can extend on this by making number bonds to 100!

Feel free to print out the sheets to use for the activities.
