Activity 1: Family Hand Prints

A nice hand printing activity for all the family to create a joint piece of art! 

For this activity, you will need:

• Lots of hands - for printing!
• Paint - one colour for each person in the family.
• Paper - to print onto.
• Soap, water and towels - to get nice and clean afterwards!

Simply put a little paint on each person's hand and press firmly onto the paper - get yourself cleaned up while it's drying and ta-da! You could even write your names under each hand. 

Activity 2: Family Tree

Create a family tree using your hands as the leaves! 

For this activity, you will need:

• Lots of hands - for drawing around and cutting!
• Coloured paper - for your hands.
• Plain paper - to stick your hands onto.
• Pen - to draw your tree.
• Brown pencil - to colour your tree trunk.
• Scissors - to cut your hands.
• Glue - to get sticking!

First, draw around everyone's hands on a piece of coloured paper and cut these out - make sure you write everyone's names on so you know who's is whos! 

Next, draw your tree with as many branches as you need for your family and colour it in.

Finally, glue down each hand onto a branch and leave to dry.

Activity 3: Wooden Spoon Family

Design your own wooden spoons to re-create your family! 

For this activity, you will need:

• Wooden spoons - one for each member of the family.
• Glue.
• Coloured pens.
• Googly eyes.
• Any buttons/beads/ribbons/fabric scraps etc. you may have to decorate. 

First, decide if you are going to design your own spoon or you want to make someone else in your family!

Next, decorate your spoon to look as much like the person as possible - you may want to use a mirror.

Finally, get all of the family spoons together and take a family photo!
