A Special School in Woodley, established in 1972 and installed in new premises on 27 April 2009.

Part of Wokingham District Council's educational provision.

There are 194 students with special educational needs here, aged from 2 to 19 years old .

The school has 110 staff, 100 working directly with students.

Addington now has Specialist Status in Music.

The school has a dedicated music teacher and music suite.

There are excellent ICT facilities throughout the school.

Team Teach protocols have been adopted by the school.

The students enjoy using the hydrotherapy pool.

Planning permission for the new school buildings, in Woodlands Avenue, was granted on 8 November 2006 and the school was opened to students on 27 April 2009.
